Happy Tuesday!
Wow Internet~ I have never felt so inspired, optimistic, and hopeful! Within the last week, my life has changed so much and I wouldn't have it any other way!
After twelve years of being tied down to a corporate job, I finally took a leap of faith and decided to pursue my dreams full time. I truly believe that God puts everyone here for a purpose. Now I have the opportunity to do what I feel in my heart is my purpose which is to create beautiful memories through my photography.
I am reading a book right now called, " 48 Days to the Work You Love" by Dan Miller. I have tried to get into this book several times before now, but right now, since I have made the decision to go full time with my dreams, it really hits home with my spirit.
The book offers a ton of inspirational food for thought, but one analogy that really hit home to me was this story of an old dog. In summary, a neighbor saw an old dog lying on his front porch softly moaning and groaning. He asked the owner why the dog was always moaning. The owner responded by explaining that the old dog was lying on a nail. The neighbor asked , "Why doesn't the dog simply move?" The owner replied,"I guess it doesn't hurt quite that much yet."
Many of us are just like that old dog. We moan and complain about different things in our life but never do anything to change our circumstances. If you want different results, you have to change what you are doing! This is exactly what I have decided to do and pray that God will help lead me along the way.
This book is a must read for any one torn between living out their dreams or staying with the same ol routine. I am not going to say change is not scary but how will God ever be able to use you for your purpose if you never give him a try.
Happy Tuesday Internet! Stay Inspired!
